Sorry for being quiet for awhile

Hello folks. Sorry for no updates but I've had a rather busy week.

     Last week I flew to my first Ponyville Ciderfest. The con was great and it was great to meet many of you at the event. Sales were good, and I want to thank everyone who showed up for the Lucid Dreaming panel that myself and Midnight Premiere hosted.

     I just wish the hotel room key system had not kept failing big time for us. The keys kept demagnetizing and we had to have ours reissued at least 3 times over the weekend.

     Both my flights to and from the con were red eye specials requiring me to get up at 4:30am to make it to the airport for my flights, but it saved me a ton of money on the flights. However Southwest fares maybe cheap but so is the padding on their seats. Ouch.

     My wife Smudge graciously agreed to drive me to airport on Thursday and pick me up on Monday morning. However upon arriving at Denver on the return leg of my trip I got a text from her saying she had been admitted to the ER for food poisoning. Fortunately my stream co-host Caerdwyn agreed to pick me up at the airport. Thanks dude.

     As I was sorting this out I started getting text messages and phone calls from AAA concerning a claim to my auto insurance. I can't go into details on that at the moment, but we're working with them on it.

    Now my wife had taken our car to the ER along with one of our roommates Rindis. Fortunately my other roommate Catspaw was still home and he was able to drive me to the ER after Caerdwyn dropped me off. It was about 2 in the afternoon and Rindis had been with Smudge since about 6 in the morning. After changing of the guard I stayed with my wife until about 5 in the evening when we learned they wanted to keep her overnight for observation. Just be sure she would alright. So I drove home and promptly crashed out for the night.

    Tuesday was primarily getting Smudge released from the hospital and starting to sort out the insurance situation along with getting caught up with emails. Then there was Wednesday, and well, lets just say US elections did not end the way myself and many others had hoped for.

FYI. Do not use this journal to start posting screeds, or other inflammatory commentary. It will be deleted and you will get exactly one warning before being blocked. I am not joking about this.

     So today was the first day this week that I've been able to start getting work done in the studio. Mostly getting remaining outstanding convention commissions completed. Now back to work.
