For patrons and watchers, followers, supporters I have some more information. As the week progressed my fever refused to go away, so I told myself I would go into Urgent Care on Friday if I still had it. Well I woke this morning and I was still over 100 so off I went. Got down to the facility and started talking to doctor while they started taking an array of swab tests. I already know I tested negative for Strep Throat. Still waiting on the others. Yes Covid is one of them.
However while I was discussing things with the doctor I commented about having a wheezy feeling in my chest. She put the stethoscope to my back for second and then replied in a very chipper voice.
“Chest X-Rays!”
Well about 20 minutes later we had the results. I have a very, very early stage of pneumonia. Inflammation in the lungs but no fluids at this time. So I am on antibiotics and an inhaler for a week or so. Doc thinks that because I came in early we’ve probably nipped in the bud and it should be easily contained.
I would like to use this instance as an example of why it’s important to address medical issues early on instead of denying they exist, or supposedly “Manning it out!” Because I went in early I have probably avoided a potentially very bad situation. Time will tell.
