v.07 release!

Good evening (night), Patrons! v.07 was sent out moments ago to those of you who pledging for it, slightly behind schedule again. I wanted to quickly clear the air and let you know why it came out a bit late, as well as reiterate that I will be releasing another, mini-update (v.075) in the next week or so.

First off, the late release. Some elements of the update ended up taking me a bit longer than I anticipated, namely parts of the boss fight. In addition to that, we were having some power outage issues yesterday, and while I do save frequent backups of Crisis Point, I didn't want to risk any data corruption - or worse, getting my system fried. As such, I wasn't able to get much done yesterday, hence the push into the 5th (practically the 6th.)

Now for the more exciting stuff, the v.075 mini-update. It will be substantially smaller than a regular update, but everyone pledging for v.07 will get it automatically. v.075 will contain the H-scene for the first boss, new areas to explore in the Caves and the Summit, and some overall polish - mostly in the boss fight. I don't have an exact release date for it, since I'm not sure exactly how long it will take me. I chose to release v.07 now instead of waiting, though, since I don't want to make you wait even longer. Now, onto the v.07 recap and v.08 goals.

UPDATE v.07 GOALS
-Finish rest of kick animation
-Implement first boss
-Actually re-code collision engine for real this time, seriously
-Improve dialogue box graphics
-Add Warped Soldier cumming animation
-Implement various environmental hazards
-Create more content (areas)

I am (mostly) proud to announce that (mostly) every feature (mostly) made it into v.07! I pushed back the Wire Shot upgrade, due to its reliance on environmental interaction, and some features such as the boss's H-scene will come with v.075, but everything else is fully intact! Yaaaay

UPDATE v.08 GOALS
-Implement Spread Shot upgrade
-Finish Wire Shot upgrade
-Add new enemy (Flying aliens)
-Implement menu to disable objectionable content
-Add new movement stance (limping) to be used for various status effects
-Add new environmental hazards
-Create more content (areas)

Here's the list of things I hope to accomplish for v.08. There will be two(!) new upgrades for Alicia to obtain (one of which will make you all stop complaining about slimes), a new enemy type, and some other interesting stuff that I will not spoil for now. Overall, though, my main focus for v.08 is making new areas for Alicia to explore, as there quite simply can never be enough of that in an exploration-based game.

Anyhoo, I think that's enough out of me. I'll keep in touch about v.075 and let you know when it's near completion, but until then, I hope you guys enjoy v.07 of Crisis Point!

Not sure about that. It wouldn't take too much effort for the tentacles, specifically, but then it'd be unfair to not offer the option for other enemies, who could prove more difficult. Thank you for the idea! It's something I'll keep in mind, but I can't give you a guaranteed answer just yet. Glad you're enjoying the game though, and thank you for your support! :)

On the note of "Implement menu to disable objectionable content" do you think it would be possible if that could include things like personal preference to things like tentacles being anal or vaginal? Also good work this game looks like it's going to be awesome!

There's no walkthrough, things are pretty straightforward for the most part. If you run into any areas blocked off by black rectangles, that means that area is unfinished and there's no way in yet. Aside from that, just look for thin floors you can jump through, and once you get the Force Shot upgrade, look for breakable walls you can bust down. You'll know you've reached the 'end' of the demo when you find the health powerup!

was wondering if there was a walkthrough or any tips? i cant find where to go when i get to the room with the slimes and tentacles
