That was probably the problem
Added 2023-10-21 03:59:58 +0000 UTCSo, along with getting the cold last week I've gotten a sinus infection. Started an antibiotic treatment today.
Well I think found the reason for the infection. A moment ago I blew my my nose and felt something odd suddenly come out. Looking down at the tissue I spied little dead spider. Petina has checked out for the weekend again.

Tsk. Silly spider. That's not how you lay eggs in someone's brain. Much easier to go in through the ear.
