This is a portrait of Joe, also known as Gearless Joe, Link who's the main character of the series. While I'm not a big fan of boxing the series does a pretty good job of showing the toll the sport takes on those who participate in it.

Yeah. Without spoiling it my household has seen 2 people who have either been permanently crippled or outright killed as a result of competing.

2021-09-07 20:13:23 +0000 UTCI've only seen bits and pieces of it but it does a very remarkable job of realizing that any physical sport will take a toll on both mind and body. I really should go back and start over again watching it. Really nice work!
