When you often don't wear clothes, costuming can get interesting. But magic does offer all kinds of possibilities. This is a 3 hour color study I did for Sylvan Ryan as a Patreon reward for him. It is not intended to be a finished masterpiece. More like a color sketch. I am doing these to figure what techniques will give me the results I like in digital. With time I should be able to shave down the time even more, but I am still stumbling around learning the tools. When I've gained a better grasp of the tools and how the interact with each other I'll then start doing more refined, larger finished pieces. It was done in Clip Studio Paint.

Yes I have downloaded it. However as nice as the Apple Pencil is still doesn't compare to the Cintiq stylus which is the benchmark I measure other styluses against.

2017-11-23 20:07:38 +0000 UTCAt first glance I thought this was a scanned traditional. The telling spot is the shadow, not as crisp. It’s friggin awesome for trying something new! Did you know Clip Studio Paint EX is available for the iPad now? It’s a subscription version, but they’re offering 6 months free until December 20th. I like it, still playing with brushes and settings, but using the Apple Pencil with it is much nicer and more smooth. I do have to wear a drawing glove, though. I don’t think they’ve got the palm rejection working right like Paintstorm or Procreate do.
