it might be my reaction's influence as well π and yes I agree! I do this thing that in order to connect with characters, I try to relate or connect to them through my own experiences...it just didn't work great for me here π

thatβs such a good point! My main struggle was constantly comparing it to my own pets and the bond I had with them. I know itβs fiction and the relationship they have is completely different, so itβs not really fair for me to keep making those comparisons but I just couldnβt help it π I think by the end I managed to draw that line, but wow it definitely took me a while to get there π

For some reason I find it weirder now that when I watched it for the first time hahaha. The thing is, this is a "magical realism" show in a sense, there's no point questioning too much if they are pets or humans, the show is more about Jungwoo finally being happy.

I know what you mean about your pets being your kids but this was his childhood dog. You don't think of your dog as your kid when you're a kid. Instead, he was his best friend. So this is like seeing his best friend again years later and connecting with him. Hopefully that helps!
