2025-04-30 23:34:23 +0000 UTCOmg… I feel so dumb. I just realized, YEARS LATER, why Ian is similar to Lee Wan. In Korean, Lee (이) is pronounced like “ee”. I am not sure why it is changed to Lee for the romanized version. So it sounds like “EE Wan”. He just made it “EE an”, so Ian. That is the entire reason they emphasized “Oh! I-AN.” Another fun fact, his name is just Wan and his surname is Lee. It’s a bit more rare for Koreans to have a given name/first name of one syllable instead of two (Gi Tae, Seung Ho, etc.). Lucky us who have to keep saying the name lol

Also, this isn’t a show that drags things out... that’s a win in my book. Watching this made me want to play a dating sim... maybe replay Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, didn’t get a very good ending last time XD

Aahh, so many annoying yet iconic romance/kiss tropes...
