Today, I’m here to report some exciting news that unfolded earlier.
Earlier today, Uber and Leet, for reasons unknown, decided to cause mayhem in Empire territory dressed as characters from another obscure game. It feels like these guys will never ran out from obscure characters.

The real surprises started when the Empire responded by sending Earthshard, one of their strongest capes, to deal with the situation. And she wasn’t there to merely rough them up - it looked like she was out for blood. There’s no other explanation for her splitting the earth in an attempt to crush them on the spot.
Earthshard would have succeeded if it weren’t for Twice’s intervention. He came crashing into her with a modified truck, possibly Leet worked on that vehicle, and then swarmed her with what were clearly clones - a revelation that pegs him as a Master, not a Changer as previously thought.
Twice used the distraction to rescue the duo and attempt to flee, but Earthshard proved once again why she’s considered one of the strongest. She easily destroyed all the clones with a single blast and managed to trap the trio, seemingly about to crush them into paste.
Enter the newest cape in Brockton Bay, crashing onto the scene like a meteor and saving them and allowing the group to safely flee from the fight.
Not only that, but True Might showed an impenetrable and indestructible body. Earthshard tried everything against him, to no avail.
We even got a short clip:

Those earth spikes should be capable of piercing metal. We have seen it before, yet they shattered on contact - honestly amazing to watch. True Might then proceeded to wipe the floor with her. It could hardly be called a battle; from the start, it was clear he had the advantage. He even created an artificial earth wave with his bare hands. I haven’t seen another cape capable of that yet.
Then came his finisher move, which he called “Final Justice”. I can confidently say that would’ve killed anyone else, cape or not. I guess that makes Earthshard a brute to survive it, or her power is more than just geomancy.

After the crash landing the winner was clear as the day but just as True Might was about to apprehend the Empire cape, the final surprise arrived: Purity descended from the skies.

She hit him with a fully powered blast. Can you imagine the destructive power of those rays? I’ve seen them in action. Anyone would have turned to ashes on the spot, and yet they did ABSOLUTELY nothing visible to our newest hero. Well, they did manage to push him away from Earthshard, allowing Purity to rescue her and whisk her away, likely to Othala or a safe-house deep in Empire territory.
In the end, they both escaped, with True Might declaring he’d find them to enact “righteous justice”.
Honestly, I can only say... About time!
I don’t know how those unfounded rumors spread that True Might was somehow affiliated with the Empire, but this is more than enough proof that he isn’t, especially after that loud declaration.
Interestingly, the Empire’s been real quiet about the whole thing. No statements, no retaliation... yet.
One thing’s for sure - the cape scene in Brockton Bay just got a lot more interesting. Keep your eyes peeled, folks. Something tells me this is just the beginning.

True might is now my all-time favorite hero, if it wasn’t after beating the Merchants. Nobody had the balls to directly and openly fight them before, but he just crash landed and beat the shit out of them and left. All the capes should take notes on how to do things. Now if he could do the same with the ABB, it would be great.

I’m actually interested in Twice’s power. Those were A LOT of clones that he created but also that the bugs Leet was throwing at people also became the same mud as the clones when destroyed, then that means that he doesn’t just can clone himself but can clone other things. It explains why those two had seemingly endless ammunition for whatever they were doing.

Huh, I guess I need to update that wiki page for Twice. The PRT is definitely gonna do something about this. No way they will allow a Master with such a vast cloning power to be in their city. As for True MIght, I classified him as a Brute 7 when he triggered, but after taking a full power blast from Purity I think it should be prudent to raise his rating to a 9 if not more. Shit, did we just witness the birth of another Alexandria?

Putting that aside, I am still wondering why the Empire sent Eartshard, despite having so many capes to choose from, way too overkill. If it was to murder Uber and Leet then they should have just sent Hookwolf, that psycho would have made a macabre spectacle out of those two idiots.

Let me chime in that Hookwolf is currently lying low because a lot of independent cape are looking for him. He really pissed off a lot of people this time, don’t know what he has done, but as long he is off the streets then it’s a net positive for everyone else.

Taylor frowned as she checked the rest of the posts and watched more clips of the fight. True Might was announcing his moves before doing them. She kinda knew that from those few videos that circulated around but the fight against Earthshard all but confirmed it.
And she just found the perfect name for her cape persona. She initially thought of Weaver but opted to change it to Buzzwing, as bad guys will tremble to the buzz of justice!
That aside, now she needed to name every single of her moves?
It would take some time, but she was sure that by the end of the month she would have named all her moves, so it was doable. She already did her debut, although nobody mentioned her and it wasn’t even reported in the newspapers or internet articles, so she needed another and bigger debut and this time she would be ready as Buzzwing.
“Swarm of courage?” She muttered the attack name. “Or, bite of courage?”
It had a certain good flair, that was for sure.

Rumi slammed her smartphone on the night table beside her bed, disgusted by the forum page she’d just closed. She dragged her hands across her face, letting out a frustrated growl as she flopped onto her small bed. This bullshit was as predictable as it was infuriating.
“Damn waste of time,” she muttered.
Modeling work was a joke – hours of heavy makeup, fake smiles, and doing absolutely nothing productive as she posed for the camera. And for what? So a bunch of horny teens could drool over pictures she couldn’t even control.
It wasn’t the skin-showing that bothered her. Hell, her cape costume left little to the imagination, but that was her choice–practical and perfect for kicking ass without restriction. No, it was the ridiculously small, impractical crap they made her wear for hours, especially those big tight dresses.
The scowl deepened on her face as she thought about her financial situation. Being a famous hero meant jack shit when you weren’t part of the PRT. Managing her brand? Paperwork? Legal crap? It was a minefield, and she’d already stepped on one bomb when that company used her cape name without paying up, and it was all legal because it had her signature.
Well, she still didn’t read contracts before signing them but it was the principle of things!
“Should’ve punched that smug face.” she muttered, clenching her fist. But she knew better now. These modeling gigs, as much as she hated them, were straightforward. Wear the clothes, get paid, no strings attached.
The money would keep her afloat for a couple of months, assuming nothing went sideways. On the bright side, the rent prices weren’t high.
She needed a stable source of income. Finding a normal job? She snorted at the thought.
Yeah, right.
Unlike her peers, she didn’t have that option. Her rabbit traits made it impossible to find a job and she would hate it, anyway. And she was sure that she would punch a whiny customer.
She could only sigh and stare at the ceiling of her cramped room.
Heroics didn’t pay after all.

Today Brockton Bay was the city that hosted an impromptu cape charity event. Which is rather strange as these sorts of events usually occur in New York and San Francisco. And the main theme was PSA against illicit substances.
However, what made it different from the other was the vast amount of independent heroes that have been invited, like the local New Wave or the Claw Patrol that operates in Chicago, however the main event show was in fact given to the rising star of True Might.
He performed a short anti drug play on stage, earning the love from the public and probably the majority of the citizens of Brockton Bay if he didn’t already. I didn’t expect him to be a natural actor I must admit or that good when treating kids as he had a very fun time with all the kids while arm wrestling with them. Although it was interesting to see him interacting with Lady Photon, the leader of New Wave, could they be trying to recruit him?
He certainly fit with their main theme.

Just as there were many independents, there were plenty of Protectorate heroes, they wouldn’t have allowed any sort of violence occur on that day under PRT orders. Also, because of the high number of capes the gangs didn’t try anything stupid. At least two of them cause the Merchants would have tired something cause they would be too high to care. So they didn’t want to poke the hornet nest.
You need to be a special kind of idiot if you ever attack an event like this.

Navi, or also known as Oracle, pulled away from the screen, squinting as her eyes protested from the long hours glued to the PC screen. Slipping off her glasses, she rubbed at her tired eyes before glancing at the clock: 11:00 PM. A smirk played across her lips. Still time for a quick gaming session before bed.
With a few swift keystrokes, she closed the PHO forums and fired up her SNES emulator. As Dragon Quest VI booted up, her thoughts drifted to the earlier event. Director Piggot hosting anything was strange enough, but the spotlight on True Might was blatantly transparent. It was clear they were trying to curry favor with the up-and-coming hero, who proving to potentially be the next Alexandria.
The sheer volume of media coverage surprised even her, who prided herself on keeping tabs on all things cape-related. She wouldn’t be shocked if True Might merchandise flooded the markets by next month. Someone was clearly pulling strings behind the scenes, and True Might’s own persona, equal parts of weird corniness and goofy charisma only amplified the effect.
She couldn’t help but snort at the memory of viral clips showing him shouting move names like an anime protagonist. At least he had a style she hasn’t seen in a very long time. A twinge of regret hit her, considering the underdeveloped manga and comic industry in this world as they never took off.
As she navigated the game’s dungeon, her mind raced with other thoughts. The PRT was likely behind this media blitz, but director Piggot lacked the creativity or even interest for such a campaign thanks to her hatred for independents. So this had to be from another PRT branch, perhaps Costa-Brown?
….Or maybe even Cauldron?
The shadowy organization had its fingers in countless pies across Earth Bet, all for their supposed greater good and to kill Scion. And she was pretty sure those anonymous but extremely useful tips she received days ago from an untraceable number, came from Contessa. But this level of media manipulation seemed off for them. Unless… Her eyes widened at the thought. Unless they could have actually created True Might?
But they shouldn’t be capable of producing someone that powerful and even if they did it would be a big mess that would have exploded on their faces.
“Ugh!” She flopped back in her big chair, the familiar frustration of an unanswered question gnawing at her. She should’ve checked out that stupid library instead of grinding levels in that modded Dark soul when she had the chance. Not knowing was the worst.
And now she was missing her old library of games.
Straightening up, she cracked her knuckles. She’d need to run more tests, gather more data before she could draw any solid conclusions. For now, though, a Jamirus awaited her party’s wrath.
She leaned forward, a grin spreading across her face as she focused on the screen. The gryphon didn’t stand a chance.

And I must begrudgingly admit that the winner came as a surprise as it was a late entry that just exploded on popularity

‘In the arms of Justice’ by Irondaddy a homo-erotic fic between Armsmaster and True Might.
It was just too well written and it was so on point with their personalities it was impossible for this fic to not be declared the winner despite the late entry, some of the contenders even had a dozen of chapters.

She marveled at how the author had captured Colin’s essence so precisely. This dynamic fascinated her, reminding her of her own relationship with Colin and how she had been trying to help him.
However, she decided against mentioning the particular fanfiction to him, of course. Instead, she quietly bookmarked it for future analysis.

I am posting a public warning because the Decency Patrol is coming to Brockton Bay, they will probably arrive on March 4th. So I highly recommend leaving your homes with your cheapest and oldest clothes from your closet. For at least a week because that’s how long they stay in a city.
And all Tinkers who rely on power armor should follow this advice as well or just avoid engaging them.
