They decided NOT to go ahead and do the 2% fee plus 30 cents. (see my previous post about this). There was too much backlash and many people pulling out of the website. Luckily for you guys, since my Patreon is only $1, a 2% fee would have been 2 extra pennies. But still, this made ppl mad. Say you're pledging $50 a month to your favorite YouTuber, that hypothetically would've turned into $51.30, which is an extra $15 a year.
I'm not sure what they plan on doing to make the creators (such as myself) get a greater percentage of the pledge. All I know is that as of now, there will be no changes and things will continue to run as they have been. As of now, Patreon is the BEST platform for youtubers, artists, musicians, etc to receive support from their followers. I will be sticking with Patreon, so don't worry! So if you're pledging $1, you will only be charged $1.

Sorry for the delay.... every since somebody leaked my video, I've been very uncertain about posting anything here, as you can imagine. I guess I need to accept that this website won't be 100% private. Hope you can understand my side of this situation! :)

I would not mind an extra few cents a year for you to keep spreading joy to all your fans! I always said, I would never watch Youtubers, and thought it was ridiculous that people make money just for videos of themselves. Then, I saw someone make a post about you on Reddit last year, and I fell in love with your videos. You made me explore YouTube, and I found some great people I like to watch. You're the only YouTuber that I would ever use patreon for, but the happiness you exude, you are actually extremely talented, and I relate too many of your struggles. I am only donating a dollar, I would do you more if I could, so I hope that $12 a year helps you out in at least some way. Keep your head up and keep pushing forward, hunnnaaayyy! πππ
