80,000 yen is about 540 bucks USD, so I'd say it's probably an intro camera. Fancy cameras get into the thousands.

2025-08-19 00:21:14 +0000 UTCI think their calorie computation is off, in Japan and other countries they use actual calories, in the US what we call "calories" are really "kilocalories", so you would need to divide Japanese calories by 1000, which would have given "50" US calories, which is obviously way off, too. I bet they confused "sen" and "man" so they were off by 10, like you thought it should be 5000. Also, the Canon model camera is real, it's a version of the Canon M50 mirrorless that came out a bit ago. i have a similar model M50 but not the Kiss M model. I was surprised they used a real camera, but I can see it from her decision to buy it. Canon probably paid for the placement, but I wonder how Crunchyroll got to show it with the real product. Anyway, I loved the "stills" that he managed to get!
