Neither one, Sayaka or Kyoko made the wish for themselves, they told themselves they were in the moment but both wanted their wish to amount to something to bring them happiness top and that's the problem i think, they wanted to help people but it isn't altruism. That's why Kyoko has become cold and alone, and Sayaka seems like she's breaking they made wishes with expectations and when they don't happen the cost is too much, so their wishes were, on the surface and in their minds altruistic, for another, but for themselves deep down in a part even they couldn't see, they made it fir themselves. Totally understandable, again, they're kids, things are simple in their mind but reality, like madoka's mom mentioned, isn't so easy I also like the implication, Kyoko's father didn't just kill his family, he murdered her too, but being a magical girl if her soul gem isn't destroyed she heals which he didn't know. Poor girl was killed by her own family because she made a wish trying to make him happy. Again, waiting with baited breath for this to keep on keeping on :) loving the reactions
