Loulan is part of a rebellion, against her mother. She already lied to her to save Maomao. Wonder how much longer she will duly play her role. There is a reason they showed her inner dialog. The final scene was all goosebumps indeed, even rewatching. Luomen, her father by heart, acting as a catalyst for her actual father, and now Jinshi, the moon prince, Ka Zuigetsu, has to come out and fight his own nature and the enemy. A little sad for Maomao to get to know his real status this way, but who knows how it will play out. Peak, alright.

2025-05-30 23:05:00 +0000 UTCThe most satisfying part of this episode was Lakan finally calling out Jinshi AND in some respect his uncle. Jinshi for his angsty BS and at least partially MaoMao's adopted father for his passive aggressive, "I can only do what I can do and the rest is up to the universe" approach.
