Dragonball isnt part of the Big 3. It is their predecessor. The big 3 refers to a specific time in manga history where three titles propelled the magazine Shonen Jump to its peak in popularity. Those 3 being Naruto, One Piece and Bleach.

You would probably need to watch 4 or 5 episodes a week to catch up in a few years OG Dragon Ball is a must see....DBZ for me takes too long to show the story. What you just went through with this show in 25 episodes takes about 80 episodes the way they drag shit out and show highlights from previous shows. I never got into Naruto, but that would probably be the best 1 of those 3 but I would love to see your reactions to Dragon Ball. Goku as a kid is everything.
