2025-03-29 03:24:30 +0000 UTCI do get frustrated by the Chinatsu hate. People like Hina, and she’s not Hina. We only see her through the eyes of Taiki, but it’s not like she can interact with him in a similar way to Hina. She’s not friends like that with Taiki, she behaves in ways that are appropriate and mature, and i suppose for some people it’s boring. But i don’t know i feel like that in of itself tells me a lot about her. I see a lot of the criticism about ‘what even is it that Taiki likes about her?’ and i feel like it’s so blatantly obvious. For one, he finds her pretty, but probably the biggest is that she’s determined and head strong on moving forward to achieve her goals, and that she made so many sacrifices in order to do so. She being older that is an admirable trait that any underclass would appreciate and admire. Combine all those things and it’s not hard to understand. She is his driving motivation through the entire story. He does not achieve what he achieves in Badminton without her.

2025-03-29 01:52:57 +0000 UTCYeah both in the manga and anime, there’s definitely been criticism of Chinatsu as a character not being as well received or liked at the beginning because we don’t really know her/her thoughts. Part of it is just her personality where she doesn’t outwardly express her emotions/personality as easily, but also the mangaka just didn’t write many scenes providing insight to her character in the early parts of the story. Season 2 (and beyond if we are lucky enough to get a season 3) will do justice to her character.

When a slot comes available should keep Medalist in mind, figure skating and so wholesome. Think you would enjoy it.
