Having read the manga, I thought that they were going to end the episode with the confetti ball crash. It was a great spot for a double cliffhanger.

Of course, it's pretty clear that he doesn't love her the way he loves Chinatsu, but it's not impossible for him to have some feelings for her. Even if it's just because she's being forward with him and it's messing with his head. That's how I see it, tbh. (sorry if my english is bad)

It felt really refreshing that, even though Taiki loves Chinatsu, everything that happened with Hina made him start to feel something for her too. Usually, in other anime, the main character only has feelings for the main girl, so this was nice to see.
