I did say it was the perfect, most satisfying, wholesome way to finish the story. For me it's the best ending of any anime I've ever seen, and I've been watching for decades.

2024-12-31 02:29:04 +0000 UTCI grew up with the manga and it means so much to me, so of course when I found your channel from your Fruits Basket reactions one day, I immediately subscribed, and then came over here to patreon soon after that because I couldn’t wait lol I just wanted to say that I’m so glad that if anyone were to react to it, it was you! You’ve done such an amazing job picking up on the little hints and the sometimes seemingly insignificant lines sprinkled throughout. I never even really considered how it’d be watching this for those unfamiliar with the source material, because everyone I’ve ever spoken to about the anime when it came out already was, so it was incredibly enjoyable to see your reactions! And I’m just so appreciative of the fact that you’re not the type of person to see things as black and white, or get bogged down on things like good/bad. Especially with a story like this where so many of the characters are so complex and layered. You had such a great understanding of them and their stories. It’s been so so much fun (and also hilarious at times, in the best way) to experience the show again through your eyes. I can’t even tell you how much I’ve enjoyed these reactions! I had a lot of laughs and cries (again, because seriously I’ll never not cry when watching this 😭) so THANK YOU!! It was a lovely ride :) - a fellow yuki girlie haha (he's my favorite character probably ever)

2024-12-30 18:05:19 +0000 UTCIt was an incredible experience to re-watch the show with you. It was great to see your reaction every week and how you fell in love with the charcaters and story. It is my favorite series, and it has a very special place in my heart, following the story since the manga was still releasing, I never thought we would get an adaptation so well done like this and went I got the news of this being made, I was so nervous and happy. I'd love a Q&A video! It would be fun. If you decide later to read the manga, it would be good to have a Q&A about it as well but just the anime series it is already great and have tons of stuff to talk about. Since you asked, Hana is not together with Shisho, she is working there mainly to assist with cooking but she uses this to tease Kyo as his "mama". The end is so damn perfect. The conversation between Yuki and Tohru is great and actually the first idea the author had when creating the story. She mentioned that she wanted to create a story where different love relations are shown and her main idea was the Yuki and Tohru connection, so that was basicall the first scene in her mind. And then, right after, they show us Tohru and Kyo with a grandkid! The pictures!!! The build such a great beautiful family together and having that scene playing with Kyoko's last words and wishes for Tohru is just INCREDIBLE. It is the perfect conclusion and farewell for such a heartwarming story. Thanks again, Alana, for the great videos.
