Same! Kisa and Hiro are both very under rated characters. Honestly might be my biggest complaint with the show was that we didn't get more content with them.

2024-12-31 00:45:22 +0000 UTCYou are definitely remembering that wrong. Kakeru has a girlfriend and its not Kimi from the student council. They even talk about it in the school trip episode 2x17. In the manga Kakerus girlfriend is more present and actually has a substory but they cut all of that for the anime adaption so she just gets mentioned.

I feel that Fruits Basket is one of those shows where you can truly fell how much the characters love each other and how much they have grown. By Season 3, it's impossible not to cry once you are attached to all of them. If you want more Fruits Basket, I highly recommend reading the manga, as there are many things that were cut in the final season. Plus, the manga dives much deeper into Tohru's development and she is more complex.

2024-12-30 17:51:02 +0000 UTCIt was amazing re-watching this with you and see you fall in love with this story and its characters. It is such a well crafted story. I always loved how fresh this story feels. It uses some cliche things like a beach arc, cultural festival etc but everything had some different approach to it, making it very unique to develop the story and going places yu don't really expect, specially once you just started the show. Who would thought a show about people turning into animals when hugged would be turning us into puddles of tears every episode and would have such a great payoff to all characters, even the ones that are not "main cast". It deals with grief, loneliness, hope, wishes and growing up in a very good way, showing lots of different perspectives and realities and not dismissing different feelings, like Rin not forgiving Akito, or Kagura still wanting them to be happy even though she is still hurt. If you do the Q&A, I'd like to ask besides Yuki, what other characters you would highlight for its character development and why. Also, which episode you remember being the one that changed your view about the show?

2024-12-30 17:23:22 +0000 UTCInteresting fact, that final scene between Yuki and Tohru? That was the first scene the mangaka Natsuki Takaya had written for Fruits Basket. It was the scene that gave her the idea for the entire story. A typical " boy confesses to girl" scene like you see so often in shojo manga but with the twist that he boy sees the girl as the mother he always wanted. From there she developed the rest of the story of Fruits Basket. Only fitting that everything ended with that scene. ^^
