this episode always wrecks me I find it so beautiful how the breaking of the curse is handled in the story, like something that over the years, lost its purpose, still existing just because of the promise, transforming a wish of friends forever into a curse that shackled all of them, without an actual connection, and by this, it just becomes frail and pointless. It feels like God was forcing that bond, basically beig the only force keeping the promise together and then when God realizes that the promise should not exist anymore, it gets undone. A lot of people would have written this break as something that involved a dispute, fight, killing God etc but the fact that none of those were the way of getting them free is very satisfying, because you can actually feel the relief, the resolution and the sadness of it all through how sutil it is. It is incredibly well written and developed throughout the whole series that once we get that, after wishing for so long, it does fell like the end of this chapter. And gosh, Kyo's dialogue with Tohru, the way he wiped her tears and the kiss!! I live for this moment.
