that cliffhanger put a baaaad taste in my mouth i can't lie 💀 but good season overall!!! i really adore jiji's character and him and okarun's friendship, can't wait for the next arc :3

Agreed! Not happy the same SA plot line. 😢 Regarding the place to stop, I have read the manga, and no spoiler, but if they had one more episode it would have been a better point to stop.

2024-12-21 18:04:31 +0000 UTCnot to hate, but even if anime fans think SA content can be viable plot devices (I personally don't think so unless it's a very particular type of show like Perfect Blue), there should probably be a trigger warning when that kind of plot point is used in a goofy anime like this...but don't take me too seriously since I haven't watched dandadan since episode 3 it just feels like ddd is the first mainstream anime where I kind of feel like I might be out-growing the type of anime coming out these days idk

2024-12-20 18:49:34 +0000 UTCyeah, there's no doubt in my mind it's intended to make the audience uncomfortable. i just think it's a very interesting/strange choice to use the same SA plot device we already saw in ep1 with the same 16-year-old girl, and leave the audience questioning whether she's is going to be assaulted or not for the next 7 months... 🤷♀️

2024-12-20 18:35:58 +0000 UTCThey did a great job adapting the hot spring attack. The author wants us to be uncomfortable. Notice how this is very different from episode 1. There is no fan service here. Momo is drawn in a very different way, her chest is flat, there is no cleveage. It's like a horror show and even if it is very uncomfortable, it works very well as an introduction of these new enemies.
