Rin's backstory is one of the most sad and horrible, to see her crumble, collapsing out of despair is heartbreaking. Best boy Hary being there to assist, support and offer her love was the best thing so she could see a glimpse of happiness. A bit of fun facts from the manga about this (not spoilers, just some fun facts the author added as columns in the manga) but Haru usually crafts his own accessories, and he used to craft them for Rin as well. Another cute thing is that since Haru is 2-3 years younger than Rin, he waited until he was taller than her to say that he loves her. Gotta love this boy haha

2024-11-29 02:24:42 +0000 UTCSo we're pitching Rin's parents in the pit with Kyo's dad and Yuki + Ayame's mom yeah? I need to sit with this episode before I can touch on a lot of it. We could infer Akito was responsible for that scar before this, so while absolutely monstrous, his actions were not a surprise. The stuff with Rin's parents was...a lot. The timeline is a little fuzzy for me, was this before or after what happened to Kisa, anyone know? Because either way this adds a lot of layers to Hiro's attitude. Somehow that beat of Rin at the door wondering if it was "safe" to go inside was almost worse than the scene with Akito. The girl with the horse spirit, a creature even taller than Haru's cow form from the looks of it, folding in on herself, trying to be unseen. Tohru can now hopefully be for Rin what she has been for Kyo, Yuki, Kisa, and Momiji. With her personality and trauma responses I expect it's gonna be rough but Tohru is persistent and stubborn in the best of ways, I believe in her. And it's an excellent first step towards the team-up I need to see.
