2024-11-25 02:40:31 +0000 UTCIf this miserable [redacted] is the parent that Yuki and Ayame have that will actually show up, I do not need to meet their dad. Instead, we will be tripping this woman off a cliff and hoping she lands on Kyo's father (who we tripped previously). For personal reasons this episode was a lot but I am so so glad Yuki has Ayame in his corner now. Shigure reminding us that he contains multitudes. Manipulative and cruel one minute and genuinely caring the next. Calling Ayame with the updated day + time doesn't seem like it would do anything other than help and support Yuki (+ give Ayame the chance to be useful and wanted). (My kingdom for Japanese subtitles for Fruits Basket, as Ayame continues to be a font of unfamiliar terms)

2024-11-23 04:52:53 +0000 UTCAs someone who heavily relates to Yuki, who had a parental figure just like his mom, and a complicated relationship with an older sibling, this episode is so triggering but so healing at the same time. It's also one of my favorites. I'm so proud of Yuki for standing up for himself and expressing his opinions, which can be so hard at that age. Also, I love the relationship between Ayame and Yuki in this episode. And the part with Kazuma telling Kyo he can take as long as he needs to decide his future. Thanks for reacting to Fruits Basket.
