Akito keeping the zodiac members away from "normal" people through emotional and physical abuse (Yuki's friends, using Kana with Hatori). Other people won't understand, and even if they say they do, they won't be able to handle it in the end. You only have us. Yuki being held up as an example by the non-zodiac adults. He's *better* than Haru and Kyo because the rat was clever. Which isolates Yuki and builds resentment in the others. And then there's Kyo himself. He's an outsider, as Yuki said in the first episode. Invited "home" but not allowed into the banquet with the rest of the zodiac. And we're only ten episodes in.
