Finally caught up. Classic I need more endings as good as this in my anime, where they spend an entire episode conflict-free and just existing slice-of-life style.

2024-09-03 22:14:38 +0000 UTCThat was such a beautiful Anime, such a great ending. I love it. I love it so much. I think... they kind of remembered and not remembered. I would hope they don't remember all the trauma too much, but keep some happy memories... And a lot of time to share together.

2024-08-17 05:28:24 +0000 UTCThis is a strong top3 for me, story writing was so good, protagonist and antagonist always gets each other and they were pretty much competing on equal grounds while outsmarting each other. After the long struggle we get a whole episode of closure, with alot of details on the background (nezu and his wife were with ushio cleaning up the beach when they first saw shinpei again etc), the way they execute and link everything back with the story consistency. Theres also just enough ushio and shinpei scenes together that doesnt leave the viewers out, and the final touch of how they execute the memories surging back to them while the fireworks starts are just giving people goosebumps. All in all we are basically watching how shinpei made his way to the ending he and shadow ushio threaded after defeating the shadows (ushio told shinpei to get to this ending while they were time travelling back), and live past the 24th july mark to make this a permanent change.

2024-08-17 04:43:21 +0000 UTC4:32 Yes, Shinpei's parents are alive. Hulu didn't bother translating it, but when he checked his phone it showed that he'd been texting them to let them know he was coming home. They replied that they were in Osaka giving a lecture at a university symposium, but would be back tomorrow.
