2024-08-21 03:50:05 +0000 UTCKaiju no 8 is great and I'm 100% sure Alana will love it, but I get the feeling more recent anime will always do better in polls, which is slightly disappointing since I'm not as inclined to rewatch something I saw so recently, plus I'd love a reason to rewatch some classics like Guilty Crown, Code Geass, Clannad, Darker than Black, Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!, etc, etc. (at least they are classics for me :p) Iirc I joined the patreon because of the Toradora react, I have no idea how that managed to win a poll but I'm so glad it did :)

2024-08-15 16:45:06 +0000 UTCAlana, even though I voted for Kaiju No. 8, may I suggest basing some polls on newer vs older shows in the future? Other reaction channels have started to reserved certain slots for certain types of shows. For example, Studio Gek has a time slot just for seinen anime since shounen tends to win every poll. Also, AutoSave recently put out polls just for older anime. Older shows will probably not get you a lot of YT views, but by the same token, this may expand your fanbase.

Fruits Basket is my all-time fave. I will always vote for it. Assassination Classroom is really good, too, they all are, but again, they are all very different shows. I really think Alana would like Fruits Basket...
