Do we really have to wait till Monday for the finale? He said, pouting like a fussy child. The last 4 episodes of this season are just so damn cathartic after spending the entire season up to this point without the characters making any tangible progress.

2024-06-13 01:58:16 +0000 UTCGod, re-watching this episode after being caught up just shows how much of a masterpiece Tappei wrote, what tremendous ability to play with foreshadowing and tie everything together. Down to the crumbs of world-building about Witches, he definitely has a knack for writing mystery genre novels... The consequences of those Trials. We'd do well to remember what happened in this arc. This is a pivotal episode on many fronts. One day, somewhat in the future, anime people will come back here on re-watches and realize what's happening... only to fall in love with Re:Zero even more.

All she wanted was to destroy his book, his illussions, the thing that binds him to the past and doesn't allow him to step forward. And I was soo worried about her, I hated that cliffhanger. (obiously I don't write what happens)
