2024-06-04 15:26:14 +0000 UTCSpirits are pretty ambiguous in the anime. Everything the anime has shown would lead one to believe that Fortuna and Puck have some link in common. We have no idea how spirits are made, but we have seen spirits with split personalities or combined aspects. Think about Frozen Bonds where the Horse Spirit combines with the Bandit guy to create a basic new entity. Puck could have been his own standalone spirit that combined with some aspects from Fortuna. It would explain a lot of things, such as him also being called the "Beast of End". But there are a few reasons why it still might not fit perfectly. Puck said he was made especially for Emilia, but we know he was likely "made" from Echidna, due to the Frozen Bond OVA and Betty referring to him as a brother. The anime just does too much mirroring for me not to believe that there isn't any connecting there. They literally repeat the same exact pose from the Frozen Bond OVA between Emilia and Puck in Emilia's flashback with Fortuna. Puck's crystal even shakes before Emilia decides to go and see that portion of her memories. They repeat the same pose and then also make hand contact like someone making a contract with a spirit. They do this while Fortuna promises to never leave Emilia alone. I also wouldn't put time shenanigans outside the realm of possibility. We get literal reality warping and death looping already. It's possible that after death, certain people may be reborn as spirits at different points in time. Through that "rebirth" and long periods of time, any number of characteristics could change from their actual living life, but maybe certain strong emotions would remain the same. This is all just pure speculation though.

2024-06-03 16:51:00 +0000 UTCI feel like if Puck isnt Fortuna then Puck would be Emilia's father. the similarities in speech that Puck has with Fortuna could be explained since that would be Fortuna's brother and Puck refers to Emilia as his daughter. (Although it could just be a figure of speech because they are really close and he took care of her when she woke up)

2024-06-03 14:29:08 +0000 UTCThere’s a lot of theories there. I’ll keep it spoiler free obviously and just focus on one theory I shared. I did actually think Fortuna could be Puck as well. But then someone pointed out that it wouldn’t make sense since Puck despised Betelgeuse, which wouldn’t make sense for Fortuna considering she loved him.
