Emilia's Arc is one of my favourite, it's one of the best backstories i've ever seen. I always cry during all of those episodes.

2024-05-22 16:48:14 +0000 UTCOne thing I’ll say about this episode that is also so subtle, is the way Roswaal says something to the effect of “I can start laying the foundation for the next me.” It is super interesting because that’s exactly what Subaru’s mindset was for the first portion of the season. It shows how alike and inhuman their thinking was, that they lived life as if they were just stepping stones to the next them.

It started playing in the season 1 episode when Subaru decided to jump off the cliff so he could save everyone. He's got the same level of determination now, but this time he's decided to rely on his friends instead of Return By Death.

Characters also straight-up lie or tell lies of omission constantly. It intentionally tries to mislead you because that is how Subaru is supposed to feel.

Much easier to understand in a light novel cus you can pause and reread. However, you are supposed to be a little confused. No one should know where Subaru went for example. Will be revealed soon.
