those sudden pains subaru felt in this episode were most likely panic attacks, which is sad that he felt like that at the mere mention of school

2024-05-26 03:50:54 +0000 UTCSo many times in generic isekai, life in the past world is literally forgotten within moments or just glossed over and ignored. It really can humanize a character especially to show why subaru was the way he was. Him breaking down realizing he might not see them again really got to me this episode.

Also now you see why Subaru is so umm… extra… lol One bit of sad lore tho someone at a Q&A asked what’s the situation at Subaru’s household. The author then confirmed that they are depressed and desperately trying to find out what happened to their son. That Kenichi is trying to comfort Naoko. I sure hope there’s a way to for him to eventually get in contact with them at least or something. I’m a anime only so who knows if something like that happens later in the story. I sure hope so cuz his parents are so sweet they don’t deserve all that 😭😭😭

2024-04-26 16:13:50 +0000 UTCSubarus Past is way too close to mine. Well I hadn't to follow my dads foodsteps, there was only my mom, who passed one year ago. But the way I tried to fullfill expectations in school and also thought I have to act in a special way, lost everyone and the way I stopped visiting school is exactly the same. Being able to say goodbye... That is such a great present. I am glad I cloud say goodbye in a very good way, althoug we didn't know that we wouldn't see eachother again.
