2024-04-27 14:34:09 +0000 UTCYep, Subaru's parents are incredible. Subaru's depression and delusion came from the idea that he'll never live up to them (more so his father). I think it's really nice that his mother told him that he can be like them as much he wants when he becomes his own person.

There's a reason behind everything that happens, nothing appears unintentional. The main cast just have such relatable flaws and their journey to overcome them is inspirational. All of the main cast have flaws and short-comings which is very rare to see in main-stream anime, but it is what makes ReZero special.

2024-04-26 17:31:24 +0000 UTCAnd Subaru's parents are great. You kind of get a feel for where he gets some of his odd traits. In isolation, Subaru sometimes comes across as kind of a weirdo, but then you see that in his family, he's the normal one.

Initially, this was a genuine escapist fantasy for him and a chance to escape his old life and become someone special. Its really cool to realize exactly how much he has grown not just from the start of series but from his previous world too.

2024-04-26 15:55:18 +0000 UTCsuch a beautiful episode. This chapter/episode just means a lot to me. It shows that even with a good family life, you can still be depressed. I think it's a flex by the writer to do all the things he did with Subaru in season 1, and then show this AFTER all that. In another story I feel like that wouldn't be the case. Cus it all adds up and you realize why he was acting the way he was in the beginning. Subaru is my favorite MC in literally any media lol. He just keeps on growing and developing in such interesting ways. It's not like he's a TERRIBLE person early on, but he has a lot of problems and watching him grow past those things and learn is really satisfying.

2024-04-26 15:53:40 +0000 UTCThis episode shows why Subaru acted the way he did from using his dads persona being all hyper. Seen in the beginning of season 1 especially on ep 13 (When Subaru made a fool out of himself) and ep 18 (Subaru talking to rem) which is amazing and sad looking back on it.
