RE:ZERO DIRECTORS CUT EP6 [early access]

the rem backstory... D: POOR GIRLY

(also the timer reaction is still processing but will be posted once it's ready!)

Comments

People's fear of the upcoming arc is betraying a disturbingly weak media literacy, but don't worry it's really quite good. Well—you've already uploaded the reaction to the most uncomfortable part. Your comments during JJK S2 were really refreshing, people need to have more faith in your analytical skills :weary_emoji:

To add on to this, she directly owes her life to Ram because if Ram hadn’t shown off her powers to the village elder he would’ve killed them both

Jay Craig

The anime really undersells just how strong Ram was as a kid. Horned demons are the strongest of all humanoid races and they value individual strength above all else. Ram when she was ten, was already as strong as the mightiest demons in their storied history. She was set out to be the pinnacle of their race, despite only having one horn. She's essentially Gojo as a little kid. Imagine being Gojo's younger brother, and being a taboo in your own race because of how you were born. And then she also feels partly responsible for her sister losing ALL of that power and potential. It really is no wonder why Rem was hyper-protective and twisted the way she was at the start of the series.

i always get the shivers whenever the opening ost drops while the episode is at a climax

I’m kinda glad we’re watching the Director’s Cut, the next arc will be more bearable

reese's puffs

The discomfort is deliberate.

Alana is all of us when Ram dropped the "my body belongs to you" line :-)

Charlie Gollmar

You got me there, I actually agree with you now based upon the points u raised .

Memory Snow contains references to the back half of Season 1 that cannot be understood without context from watching all of Season 1, and also spoils the appearance of certain characters as well. It’s not a huge deal to watch it before the back half of Season 1, but considering that Frozen Bond is paired with Memory Snow (parts of directly take place and references Memory Snow.) Memory Snow has foreshadowing for Season 2 as well, and the back half of Season 1 does not reference Memory Snow, while Season 2 does.

Barasu finally broke out of this loop!

Believe it’s important to be watched now as it makes most sense chronologically and in terms of story telling. Very character heavy episode that does a great job of building an even closer connection to the main cast. Frozen Bond is the OVA that will do the actual job of leading us into season 2.

As much as I like Re: Zero and I'm glad that you're watching it. I really do hope that you'll give Steins;Gate a try at some point

Just one thing to be aware, you may struggle with some characters in the upcoming arc but don't worry Just be patient it Will pay off, it is all for a reason

Ecodude

No words for her. Rem, the best!!! But I’m so scared of that the toughest arch is coming to soon, but also looking forward the peak moment arriving…

The next episode in the director’s cut is Memory Snow which is an OVA. Chronologically it takes place right after Episode 6 of the Director’s Cut, but it is recommended to watch it after the end of Season 1 before watching the Frozen Bond OVA . It’s not the end of the world if you watch Memory Snow before Episode 7, but most of the content in Memory Snow relates to Season 2 and Frozen Bond.
