If you just google Ascendance and Apothecary, you'll see how much they're being recommended with each other. I think the voice actors for the dub are even the same.

It literally means "little cat" or "kitten." Because Maomao totally is a little cat--a feral one. (Maomao in cat form is best Maomao).

Also, I like how you pick up on even small things like Gyokuyou quickly following Maomao's lead, which is a tremendous display of trust considering their stations and the time period.
