There are no words to describe how much I love this anime. You have the amazing character building through the story and the flashbacks, you have amazing action like Lugner/Linie fights, and then you have episodes like this that just melt your heart. IMO it's not an overreaction that this show is #1 on MAL of all-time animes. I truly see it and no episode has let me down yet. This is perfection.

aaa I love everything about this episode!! But what gets me the most is how we finally get to see Himmel, a man who cares so much and loves so selflessly, be a little selfish by getting down on one knee and giving Frieren this romantic gesture of a ring knowing full well that she’ll probably interpret this as him being simply theatrical. Even if she does learn the ring's meaning one day, he seems perfectly content with quietly loving her without expecting anything in return ;-; Himmel!!!
