2024-01-12 19:47:56 +0000 UTCHimmel is probably the most emotionally intelligent and perceptive people the show has had in it's world, I don't really think being another girl has anything to do with it at all. We've only seen tiny bits and pieces of the 10 years, but even Heiter and Eisen are incredibly kind, open, and supportive. I don't think it was a lack of anything on their part even remotely. Frieren was just very indifferent for a long time. They were the ones who triggered the change in Frieren to even feel the need to make an effort to stop and appreciate people like Fern in the first place, which she herself has even verbally given them credit for multiple times.

2024-01-12 17:12:33 +0000 UTCI think the 3 guys did not delve much into emotional impact to Frieren during their 10 year adventure so she could contemplate it someday and be more impactful (memories being more eternal), and those moments just doesn't stay at that moment. However, with another girl in the party, you can feel it each time whenever Fern speaks. The most humanistic trait of being "impatient", as contrast to how they both perceive time. And when joked about or told that they're going to stay in a place for a certain extended months/years, the ever glorious FERN POUT appears 🤣 (and some malding too)

2024-01-12 16:42:08 +0000 UTCI don't think i've heard anyone mention that the shaved ice spell was probably a reward for defeating that huge monster Eisen was afraid of that's why their journey was so ridiculous but fun at times! it never shows it directly but i kinda put it together because as Frieren and them fought the dragon for a ridiculous grimoire. The way this show really shows more than tells is really beautiful
