I don't think its known if its the same place, but iirc there is an excavation of a norse settlement in canada somewhere as well, pretty sure its the only one thats ever been found

The way it deals with violence and real heavy topics that were just normal back then is so well done. idk if this is spoiler so I'll add some spaces . . . . . . . . . '. . . Vinland is a real place, it's what they called America originally, this story is mostly based on real characters, those who "found" America before Columbus' crew.
