Fun fact, Minori's references to Watson that you noticed are a localisation, she is actually referring to Akechi Kogorō, a Japanese fictional detective inspired by Sherlock, who is possibly more synonymous with detectives in Japanese than Sherlock is in English. I've seen quite a few Japanese detective characters that have the same or similar names, such as Goro Akechi from Persona 5 (which I think you played on your gaming channel?). There is also an anime loosely based on Akechi's main rival "Fiend with Twenty Faces," Nijū Mensō no Musume / The Girl of Twenty Faces, that I really liked about 15 years ago, not sure if it holds up as well as Toradora has though.

I really, really enjoyed getting to know Minori and Ami again over these past episodes - starting to remember why I liked each character as the story goes on. I distinctly remember their 1:1 conversations under the stars always hitting me the most, makes me miss a lot of the people I've had similar conversations with over the years.
