2023-05-09 08:32:07 +0000 UTCThis is still my favorite anime of all time, and yet I'm sad that a lot of dialogue was cut from the novels. Like the talk between Hayama and Haruno, Yukino's internal monologue after she confront Hachiman, and especially the final scene between Yukino and Yui. Especially the latter one in the novel, where we finally are able to read Yukino's inner toughts, as the two girls are more honest with their feelings. As the new OVA is concerned, the real problem for me is that it's very condensed, it's even more cut that the series, and they adapted around half of Shin (it ends on Volume 4 out of 6), but maybe in 5 years they'll adapt the rest...

2023-05-09 02:26:28 +0000 UTCThis season wraps the main light novel series. The OVA was supposed to cover a chunk of the 6 mini-volume after story that came with the blu ray discs for S3. Unfortunately it drastically deviates from the source material after the first half of the episode.

2023-05-09 01:39:39 +0000 UTCFor me the OVA kinda ruined the ending of the series, I think that it is based on Oregairu: Shin (the continuation of Oregairu novel). Personally I didn't liked Shin that much and think that in a sense is just fan service (not the spicy type lol). Maybe if you find the ending rather unsatisfying then watch the OVA, or if you just want more of Oregairu and and you don't mind lowering your standards a bit regarding the plot (but in the end it is a matter of personal opinion so...)
