2023-05-03 02:40:35 +0000 UTCThe story and characters are different with the exception of a few cameos but it all takes place in the same city/world as the game. I think the anime is before the events of the game too. Btw it can sometimes feel like there are a lot of terms and info thrown at you if you haven't played the game first but don't worry the anime does a decent job explaining what's necessary for the story.
