Definately for the best that tey went with a feature length premiere. Had they broke it up into 3 or 4 parts, with how questionable the lead seemed at first, they would not have retained their viewers.

Heck, the entire first CHAPTER of the manga was everything up until the reincarnation. The pacing was incredible, and the first episode covers the whole first volume (10 chapters) and as others have said, we've got 115 currently with plenty more coming in the future.
