Hi Alana, since we're reaching the end I just wanted to say that there's 2 movies left after episode 13. The first one you need to watch is: Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (Gaiden) Make sure you watch that one before Violet Evergarden - The Movie which is the ending.

2023-04-04 23:55:02 +0000 UTCFor a very long period, Violet was unable to achieve that closure with Major Gilbert. The yearning she was unable to experience is now being fulfilled by her ability to offer this 'closure' to Adien's loved ones. Unfortunately, that is the sad truth of war. However, you won't be able to understand what it's like to be able to express your deepest desires and have them heard until you go through it yourself. Adien reaches out to Violet in an attempt to find solace from his loneliness and desperation, and Violet's ability to console him with her 'metal' hands only serves to humanize her. Violet's sobs at the conclusion are unbearably real, and as she once more experiences losing a loved one while holding them, she is helpless to intervene, just as with Major Gilbert. But more powerful than anything, she is here being embraced and recognized by Adien's mother. Violet received the deepest appreciation and affection from Adiean's mother for all of her efforts as well as the opportunity to express any pent-up emotions. An exquisite essay emphasizing the effects of war's traumas.
