With that in mind, in a way both Yui and Yukinon broke Hachiman's trust by omitting information and since Hachiman already has a lot of trust issues this kind of moment makes him go back into his shell. I think that ,since Yukino didn't tell them anything about the accident, Hachiman assumes that she doesnt trust them and thus he wants to avoid any conversation regarding the subject(Is this good ? bad? who knows).
