Another way to translate the homonym of her full name is "Here I am. Let's roll!" Kita (来た）can be translated as "I have showed up or arrived," and ikuyo （行くよ）in a certain context is a call to a group to get going ("I'm going. You coming?"). The group would then respond with Yoshi, ikou！ (よし、行こう！”Right, let's go！）or something like it. It all depends on the context of course.

2023-02-18 12:54:25 +0000 UTCAnd Kita hates the name because it sounds like a pep rally "Let's go, Ikuyo!" which got lost in translation in the anime, it actually means Kita = come + Ikuyo = Let's go "come, let's go!". But the real meaning to Kita's name is Many happiness " 喜多" and Ikuyo where the literal translation is "Let's go, relying on our curiosity only and not worries." Ikuyo means let's go, but it can very well mean the way you live, too. In a broader sense, it means "Let's live, relying on.......". Kinda makes a lot of sense not gonna lie.
