Sometimes you need a good cry to wash away all the sorrow that you go through. Maybe you have a hard day and you have no one that you can talk about it. Maybe you like someone and they don't like you back. Maybe you lost someone precious. Thank you for this.

Thanks for allowing me to live this show again vicariously through you. It managed to rip my heart out for a third time, which was top quality. Nothing quite like being reduced to a puddle of tears by a story this amazing.

It is Thanksgiving Day, 2022, as I write this. I can barely see through the tears to type. Why does this show have to be so beautiful? Because life is beautiful. Because love is beautiful. Because loss, in its own soul-crushing way, is beautiful, too. I've lived this twice. I've had two people who I loved more than anything and inspired me to seize life...and they are gone now and I am still here. I keep their memory alive. I keep fighting. I keep struggling. I keep going. I never intended to watch this anime ever again, but I am glad I was able to watch it with you. Watching someone else cry gives me permission to shed tears, too. Remembering my dear friend and former fiancée Melissa, who died on her way home to celebrate Thanksgiving in 2006, killed by a drunk driver.

As to Kaori's appearing and playing with Kousei in Ep. 22, many say that it was merely in Kousei's head, that he was just imagining or seeing a mirage or whatever. In the original manga, however, there was a hint that Kaori was really there, if only visible to Kousei. In Vol. 11 of the manga original, towards the end of Kousei's dramatic Chopin ballade performance where Kousei was begging to Kaori, "Please don't go!", Tsubaki, who of course was in the audience, had an expression of amazement and uttered, "Kao...chan." I interpret this scene in the manga to mean that Tsubaki did not see Kaori but apparently felt her presence. It was not Kousei alone who "experienced" Kaori in that scene.

So, I am trying to view this from India, but the streamable link says "This site can’t be reached", and clicking the thumbnail doesn't play the video either. Does anyone know what's going on?

ladies and gentlemen...we got um!!!

I watched this my first year in college while I was a music major and boy did this series mess me up. Top 10 show for me.

Yes, that's little Emi near the end there. If you go back and watch her episode, you'll actually see little Kaori next to her as well :)

When I first watched Your Lie in April, I never really thought about the meaning of the title. The moment when the lie is revealed hit me so hard. I just absolutely love this show. Thank you for giving me an excuse to watch it again with your reactions!

glad you enjoyed the series! Watching your reaction to the series made me realize I forgot a little just how special this story is
