ARCANE EP 7 REACTION

One thing the show does so incredibly well is to not be afraid to drag their protagonists through really painful moments, but provide them with some form of healing afterwards. At the same time, you see the antagonists being deprived of or unable to access such moments. Really leans into the whole concept of good villains being 'people who where never rescued' instead of being stereotypically and unapologetically 'bad'.

Oh, this one hits right in the feels. It just hits harder from here on. Also, you might want to watch the official music video for Imagine Dragon's 'Enemy', as it gives some good background on Powder and Ekko. (Also, you look great with red hair and glasses! :) )

Is Jinx humming the same song on the bridge that she sang in episode 1?

Leenis

I think the Ekko vs Jinx fight is a masterpiece. Think about it, the scene only has one sentence of dialogue but tells so much. "Oh look who it is, the boy saviour!" which is probably something she said to him all the time when they were little. He responds with dangling his pocketwatch by the chain and swinging it which is probably how they started the game. She takes a second to respond but empties her gun and reloads it as an agreement to play the game one last time but with real bullets.

Oh man.... That is definitely a heavy ending for this episode. This show really does hit you with so many scenes that arereally cool but also super sad.

DeadNotSleeping

My understanding of Silco being unaffected by the gas is that he's used to it. He pointed out that the others have gotten complacent, but he hasn't. He still hasn't forgotten about how hard it was to breath, so he's not as affected as they are.

Arcane's release was interesting. Netflix released 1, 2, and 3 in one week, and then 4, 5, 6... and then 7, 8, and 9 in the last week. I thought it was a really good approach. 3 episodes a week is about the length of a movie, and they generally have their own feel to it.
