i can't imagine being in that position at 16. who knows what any of us would've done if we were in vi's place? i finished episode 6 at the time of writing this and i'm super interested to see how silco and powder/jinx's relationship will play out

Many people tend to give Vi a lot of shit for what she did at the end, but forget that she's like sixteen and has just lost about everyone she ever cared for. And in that moment, where she'd actually need someone to care for her and her grief, she's forced into a parental role for her younger sister, who made a devastating mistake that is the cause of her anguish. It's a perfectly constructed Impossible Situation for a character with her weaknesses, that makes it so believable.
Then Vi is taking a timeout to calm down (which is the right thing to do!), and is kidnapped by Marcus before she can go back to Powder and attempt to make things right. I feel it's a bit weak, because Marcus' motivation isn't set up well enough, but ok, I'll take it.
One other thing that people miss: Silco's intention when he shows up is to ask Powder where Vi is, and then kill both of them to remove the last loose ends. The only thing that saves Powder from being shanked is the fact the she launches herself at him. He definitely intented to kill her, and her reaction shocks him initially until he realizes he can use that for his purposes.

Good to see you so invested in the series. Arcane is really really good and I'm looking forward to more reactions :)

agreed - they are all SO human. it makes me want them to be the best they can be. even silco? i'm only on episode 6 but i kinda feel bad for him and what he's become, not sure if we'll get more backstory on him, but i love shows that make me feel bad for the villains hahah

one of the major strengths of this show is the humanity it gives every character through its writing. Every character makes believable serious mistakes that have consequences for themselves and for others, and the show doesn't shy away from it.
