Thanks for a great reacts! I went and watched the movie in original with subtitles, it's better (Hewel back me up) lol! The movie is great even at the beginning, with the Kaijus vs the Jaegers, oops the Angel vs the Eva 1. Looking forward to watching your reaction to Evangeline 2.22!

Actually it's a little funny since Eva 1.0 is at least 90% identical to eps 1-6 of the Eva tv series you'd seen before aside from the 21st century redone visual upgrade of each tv series scene, I had worried that voting for an Eva 1.0 movie night would have been too much of a "Rewatch" reaction for you rather than feeling more like an actual "First Time" reaction of later Eva Rebuild Movie Series like Eva 2.0 which included slightly more variation from the original anime so fans would actually have a reason to show up at theaters not just to watch exactly how they'd seen expected in the 90s og before ^^... For example I remember the start of one twitch stream last year you ranted about having just watched the latest Demon Slayer movie in theaters complaining how 90% of it was clips you'd already seen from old episodes before teasing a bit of newness at the end... X) So I had worried that voting for an Eva 1.0 movie night could've evoked similar "But I Already Saw All That" reactions with minimal interest to try another Eva movie unless voting Eva again for another 12+ months etc. XD But I guess "Only watched once in high school" IS awhile ago! Lol... Especially if you didn't remember the 1st Eva battle well despite having the 1st manga book ;) Also interesting about your reaction to Misato's VA... I had a similar reaction to her voice but for different reasons: Supposedly her English VA in the Rebuild of Eva movies is her same VA from the 90s dub, but after over a decade she was the only returning English VA who sounded jarringly different from her 90s voice and surprisingly less preferable to her 90s performance imo? Not bad tho ^_^,,, Misato's Japanese VA also voiced Sailor Moon herself in both the 90s classic animes and the anime remake Sailor Moon Crystal & its conclusion films :D AND HOW DID YOU KNOW UTADA HIKARU's REBUILD OF EVA FILM SERIES THEME SONG LYRICS BY HEART ALREADY TO SING ALONG TO PERFECTLY IF YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THESE NEW MOVIES BEFORE?!?? :O
