The school looked out for "marriages of convenience" for the purpose of admission, so Loid had to make sure they looked like a legit married couple. This show is based on the East Germany-West Germany Berlin Wall-era situation. Loid is a spy for Westalis (the West). He is living in Ostania (the East), in enemy territory, to get close to one of Ostania's party leaders. Anya, Yor, and Yuri are Ostanian. "Yuri Liar"! Almost as good as "Loid Forger"! Niiiiice. Also...WORST. CLIFFHANGER. EVAR!
