The upper torso is balanced on the arms and hands because the excess weight of the legs and torso is missing. :-)

However it seems like even though she's turning into a mannequin she's not actually losing her ability to move until the body parts get separated. Hehe. I'd love that myself. Still able to move until my body parts get removed
