(and by the change of Roberta's thinking, this happened in p121). what makes Roberta a _permanent_ doll, while Maeve was reverted back to human (an horny human, but no longer just an inflated doll)? Is Roberta already a permanent doll (and only permanent-dolls _can_ be deflated or is the deflation-process part of the "permanizing"?
