Still, as a part of 'know your enemy', Mael'nerak's throne world could have info on the Aconin and maybe a little something on the Nymph connection too (hopefully). And, also hopefully, some still working advanced computer tech to bring our favorite little purple babe back with, hallelujah! Maybe Faye could have a crystal heart too! How about a Faye / Nymph that is extremely adept with computers?

Upon the death of the Progenitor and all those Thralls connected to the Progenitor, it's highly likely that the Realm is considered off-limits for at least a generation, since the population needs to recover. It's why farmers rotate fields and allow fields to be fallow for a period of time. Even if Rahn'agon was willing to leave the protection of the Shroud (which he wouldn't do, obviously), and even if he was willing to take over Larn'kelnar's former home region, he wouldn't have a Thrall population to support him for another generation in any kind of desirable numbers. Remember, the males are useless to the Progenitors and the females who were all of an age to be a Thrall are all dead. So, they have to wait for the youngsters to grow and breed before the populace becomes useful again, from a Progenitor's viewpoint. The Thrall-level equipment is meaningless in comparison. The only reason why John is so keen on taking the Maliri there is because John's in the position of having the people, but not the equipment that he wants for them. If they can work out how to reproduce the equipment without killing people, I have no doubt that Alyssa, for one, would be more than happy to have nothing whatsoever to do with Larn'kelnar's fleets of ships with dead, drained Thralls aboard!

I think for re-establishing the bond he just followed Alyssa's link to Edraele. Then he could follow Alyssa's and Edreale's links to everyone else to re-bond with them.
